The Vows at Verano

~35 turns4 endings

The premise

Bianca Moretti arrives at the Costa vineyard estate to marry a man she barely knows, sold into the engagement to cover a debt her father refuses to name. She has her own plan for the week — but Verano watches everything: the housekeeper, the consigliere, the Don himself. Six days of toasts, fittings, and performances stand between her and Sunday's vows, and her unreadable fiancé keeps answering her questions honestly. That may be the most dangerous thing on the estate.

Four endings to reach — where the thread leads is yours to decide.

How it opens

The gate is wrought iron, older than the state it stands in, and it closes behind the car with a sound like a decision. Gravel, then vines — row after row combed gold in the late light, climbing toward a house the color of baked bread. Off past the rows a stone tower stands apart, small and shut. Your father's folded hands are not still. On the front steps a woman in housekeeper's gray waits at the head of the staff line, keys at her waist. "Signorina Moretti," she says as you step out. "Verano is glad of you." Behind you, two men are already lifting your trousseau trunk from the follow car — carrying it, and everything stitched into its lining, up the steps ahead of you. …

The story picks up from here — start a save and it answers to you.
