Every turn of a story is written for you as you play, so playing spends credits — a small internal unit metered by what each turn actually uses. Reading is priced in turns below; the credit numbers are the fine print. All per-turn figures are typical, measured values.

The fine print, plainly

Turns are metered by what they actually use, so a long, elaborate turn costs a little more than a terse one. A typical standard-narrator turn is ~16 credits; translated turns typically add ~55.
Subscription credits refresh monthly and expire at the end of each billing cycle; purchased pack credits never expire. Your balance always spends subscription credits first, then purchased, then free.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time — you keep access and that cycle's credits through the end of the period. See the refund policy.
Crafting a story is metered the same way — the workroom quotes the typical charge and the required balance before anything spends. You only pay for what's used.
Change plans here: upgrades apply immediately, with 75% of your unused subscription credits counted toward the new plan's first invoice; the new grant lands only after that invoice is paid. Downgrades take effect at the end of the paid period.
Manage or cancel your subscription from your account page. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period.
